Job Summary
  • To assist the Senior Housing Options Officer team to deliver an efficient and effective Housing Options, Homelessness Prevention & Statutory Homelessness Assessment Service.
  • Be the front line Customer Service triage with supporting customers to basic legislative advise. Carry out enquiries to determine any statutory homelessness duties owed and give advice in accordance with statute, guidance and case law.
Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Administrative 40%
- Responding to Customer Online Messages
- Respond to Customer Web forms
- Respond to Customer Emails
- Scanning / data entry
- Front of house- taking forms from customers

  • Customer Service 60% - High Call volumes in some cases
- Logged onto phones at all times - 97% Inbound calls
- Basic Advise
- If unable to close call and customer requires further support, decision whether to escalate to Senior team for appointment
- Policy advise

Essential

* Ability to retain information - key as training will be provided on legislation and policy
* Ability to multitask

* IT Skills - Word & Excel
* Open to working with new IT packages

Desirable

* A housing qualification
* Experience of working in a Housing environment
* Knowledge of Nova (standard housing system)
* Awareness of recent legislation - NOT ESSENTIAL
