The NextGen Programme

The Ability People NextGen programme is specially designed to offer extra support for graduates, apprentices and school leavers. It is our only team dedicated exclusively to supporting people with disability or impairment – our commitment to helping the community which is at the core of The Ability People’s values.

We know from experience that those taking their first steps on the career ladder are most often impacted by bias. The process of getting started can be prohibitive and intimidating, which is part of the reason why people with disability or impairment are under-represented across the majority of professions.

The Ability People NextGen team work with people taking that first step onto the career ladder, offering a direct connection to suitable employers and roles. We also guide and educate employers in becoming more accessible to those too often excluded, to create meaningful, long lasting change.
