In 2008, Sam Hynd won Gold at the Beijing Paralympics, broke the S8 400m freestyle world record and took Bronze in the SM8 200m freestyle medley. He was 17. Four years later, he earned a Bronze at London 2012 to stand alongside the ten medals he’d won at World and European swimming championships.
As you might expect from someone who was representing Great Britain before he’d taken his GCSEs, Sam lives for a challenge. Born with muscular dystrophy, his energy and passion to overcome barriers and try new things is limitless. He believes it is as important to be respected for who you are, as for what you’ve accomplished, and he is driven to push The Ability People to the very forefront of its industry.
